All transformation options are also available at the Object →
Transformations menu. There you will find a list with additional tools
regarding object transformation in Blender.
2.2.1 Duplicating objects
In Blender, you will find that some operations will automatically trigger a
transformation. For instance, if you duplicate an object in your 3D
Viewport, it will also move the copied object to a new location. You can
use the same shortcuts and options from transformations, like constraint
them to a single axis.
First, how to duplicate an object? To create a duplicate of any object,
you can use the SHIFT+D keys with an object selected or use the
Object → Duplicate Objects menu. For instance, you can choose one
or multiple objects and press the SHIFT+D keys. By moving the mouse
cursor, you will start to see the duplicates. Click anywhere in your 3D
Viewport to place your newly created objects.
If you want to create a more ordinated set of copies, you can press a
key corresponding to an axis in your keyboard, right after pressing
SHIFT+D. You can create multiple copies of objects in the X-axis using
the X key right after pressing SHIFT+D (Figure 2.7).
